i used http://www.mp3raid.com/. i tried downloading k'naan 'waving flag', and after a couple of clicks some sites asked me to create a account with them and some asked for a credit card. so i gave up my attempts. i wouldnt recommend this site to customers. some customers will probably find it diffcult to use as u would need to try many links before finding a actual free site with no credit card numbers required.
i think with free mp3 downloading it is easier to find free and legal songs from unknown artists, popular artists are harder to find free songs due to the legal reasons. majority of customers are after whats hot right now, so they maybe not be satisfied with these websites. however for customers interested in boarding their muscial interests these sites will be great. youtube can also be used to download music, nt sure how legal it is thou.

I am almost 100% certain that an mp3 experience on our learn.nets would be a nightmare - with popups, sites that probably won't be so free OR free up to a point, sites that ask customers to install bits of extra software and, potentially, viruses. And you're absolutely right that it would be harder to find free and legal popular music than it is to find lots of unknown stuff. Eep.
