Week 2 : Zamzar - converting file formats

Zamzar is pretty awesome and sooo easy to use in 4 simple steps. i think this will be a breeze for staff and customers. ive been asked many times to convert documents or ive been unable to to open documents because of the wrong programmes. i wish i knew about this site before! i see myself using this site again for my own use and library use and will def promote to customers.

Hello Web2.0--Week 1:blogger

Hi web2.oers

so im pretty slow at web2.0 coz im hardly at work. i hope i can finish the tasks ahead in under a year lol.

blogging is a really place to share your thoughts, ideas and random finds. this can be a really good tool for libraries to get more infomation out there about events, books, library news etc. customers can even be attracted to join the library this way! however it might be hard to get people looking to our blogs as a first source of information. some might find it confusing or find that theres too much information to go through. personally im not much of a blogger myself, infact i made my first blog for web1.0...my main source of info is usually from google, wikipedia, facebook or direct from websites of interest, and have probably only read friends blogs out of interest.

i guess only time will tell how customers will reponse to the library blogs. so far its worked for big companies, it could work or us. our customers just need to have the interest first.
